New Haven is often referred to as a “college town.”Yale significantly influences the city’s culture, economy, and architecture. It’s also famous for its culinary contributions, particularly its pizza. New Haven also features scenic green spaces like East Rock Park and the historic New Haven Green, providing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. While New Haven is a small city, it remains a dynamic blend of history, education, innovation, and diversity which make it an iconic destination in New England.

Little Italy in Wooster Square, is a historic neighborhood known for its rich Italian heritage and culinary traditions. It is home to legendary pizzerias like Frank Pepe’s, as well as authentic bakeries and restaurants. The area is centered around Wooster Square Park, which hosts events like the annual cherry blossom festival, making it a vibrant hub for culture and community. Frank Pepe’s is probably the best pizza places in New Haven. They’ll give you a discount if you sign up with their reward program. I recommend that you always order ahead of time. They are busy!!

Other Notes: If you are driving to New Haven. I would recommend that you park at the Audubon Garage and just walk to the museums while looking at the building on campus. Everything is close by with each other and within walking distance.
